Dawki Tour Package

After breakfast, drive from Shillong towards Dawki through the East Khasi Hills. The road journey passes scenic ridges and villages, with stops at safe viewpoints when time and conditions allow. On arrival, check in to your accommodation and proceed to the Umngot River to enjoy the riverside setting.

If local operators are running activities and conditions are safe, you may arrange a boat ride on the river at your own preference and cost unless included in your package. Water clarity changes with rainfall, season and river flow. Enjoy the evening near Dawki or Shnongpdeng and stay overnight in the area.

After breakfast, visit the Dawki Suspension Bridge, an important local landmark over the Umngot River. Continue towards Shnongpdeng, a riverside village known for locally managed boating and outdoor activities. Kayaking, boating, ziplining or camping may be available through authorised operators, subject to weather, water levels, safety equipment and age or health requirements.

Later, visit a designated viewpoint near the India–Bangladesh border if access is permitted. Follow instructions from security personnel and do not cross restricted boundaries. Return to your accommodation for an overnight stay in the Dawki region.

Enjoy breakfast and a final riverside visit if conditions permit. You may take photographs from approved public areas or enjoy a short village walk. If you wish to include Krang Suri Falls, it should be planned as an extended excursion with additional driving time, rather than assumed to be a quick stop on the standard Dawki route.

Check out and begin the return drive towards Shillong or continue to another pre-arranged destination. Allow extra time for the hill roads and changing weather, particularly when connecting to flights or trains from Guwahati. Your 3-day Dawki tour concludes with the onward transfer.
