Srinagar to Yusmarg & Meadow Walk

FOREST ROAD & OPEN MEADOWS

After breakfast, drive from Srinagar to Yusmarg in Budgam district. The journey generally takes around two hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Keep water and snacks with you as facilities become limited near the meadow.

On arrival, enjoy the broad grassland framed by pine and fir forests. Take a gentle walk, photograph the mountain scenery or arrange a pony ride through a locally recognised operator. Follow local advice on routes and weather.

Overnight stay in or near Yusmarg, subject to accommodation availability. Confirm the property and meal arrangements in advance, as the meadow area has fewer services than the main tourist centres. Carry drinking water, basic medicines and weather-appropriate clothing for the outing.

Doodh Ganga Views & Return to Srinagar

RIVERSIDE NATURE

Begin the day with breakfast and a short nature walk. If conditions and time permit, visit viewpoints around the Doodh Ganga stream or arrange a guided walk towards Sang-e-Safed Valley; the longer trail should only be attempted with suitable time and local guidance.

Return to the vehicle and drive back to Srinagar. Continue to your hotel or airport as arranged, allowing a buffer for the countryside road.
