Arrive in Madikeri and check in to your hotel or homestay. Begin with Madikeri Fort and Omkareshwara Temple, two central landmarks that introduce the town’s layered history and architecture. Sightseeing timings should be checked locally, as access can vary.

In the late afternoon, visit Raja’s Seat for its landscaped garden and valley views. On a clear day, the sunset colours the surrounding hills; mist and cloud cover can change visibility. Return to your accommodation for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to Abbey Falls. Follow the designated path and viewing platform, taking care on wet steps, especially during the monsoon. The waterfall’s volume changes through the year, so the scenery will depend on recent rainfall.

Later, enjoy a guided or arranged visit to a local coffee estate, subject to estate permissions and availability. Learn about coffee cultivation and processing, and sample local produce where offered. Return to Madikeri for an overnight stay.
