Itinerary Details

03 DAYS
01

Arrival & Kohima War Cemetery

HISTORY & HILL CAPITAL

Arrive in Kohima from Dimapur or another agreed pickup point and transfer to your accommodation. After check-in, visit the Kohima War Cemetery, maintained in memory of soldiers who died during the Battle of Kohima in the Second World War. Walk through the terraced memorial grounds respectfully and take time to read the inscriptions.

Later, explore the Kohima local market and nearby town viewpoints, subject to available time. The market offers a glimpse of everyday Naga life and regional produce. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Kohima.

02

Kisama Heritage Village & Naga Culture

TRADITIONS & MUSEUMS

After breakfast, drive to Kisama Heritage Village, the venue of the Hornbill Festival and a showcase of Naga tribal architecture and cultural traditions. Outside festival dates, visitor access and facilities may vary, so confirm arrangements before travelling. Explore the traditional morungs and cultural displays where open to visitors.

Return to town and visit the Nagaland State Museum if it is open, to learn about the state’s communities, textiles, artefacts and traditional practices. You may also stop at the Catholic Cathedral of Kohima, respecting worship schedules and visitor guidance. Overnight stay in Kohima.

03

Khonoma or Dzüko Valley Option & Departure

VILLAGE OR VALLEY EXCURSION

Enjoy breakfast and check out. Depending on your departure time, weather, permits and physical comfort, choose a road excursion to Khonoma Green Village, known for community-led conservation and Angami heritage, or plan a guided trek towards Dzüko Valley. Dzüko requires a longer and more physically demanding outing and is not suitable as a brief stop for every traveller.

Return towards Kohima or proceed to your agreed drop-off point. The final-day excursion should only be included when the transport and onward departure schedule allow sufficient buffer.
