After breakfast, depart Shillong for Mawsynram, travelling through the green landscapes of the East Khasi Hills. The route offers views of rolling hills, valleys and small settlements. Later, explore the village surroundings and nearby viewpoints where roads and weather permit. Local conditions can be wet even outside the main monsoon period, so carry waterproof layers and footwear with good grip. Enjoy a relaxed evening and overnight stay in or near Mawsynram.

After breakfast, visit Mawjymbuin Cave, known for its limestone formations and a naturally sculpted stalagmite associated with local religious traditions.
