Arrive in Kathmandu and proceed by road to Nagarkot, a hill station on the eastern edge of the valley. The drive passes changing valley scenery and hillside settlements. On arrival, check in to your hotel and take time to enjoy the quieter surroundings, fresh mountain air and views from the property, subject to weather and visibility.

Later, visit a nearby viewpoint or the Nagarkot View Tower area for a sunset panorama if conditions are clear. The Himalayan skyline may be visible on a good-weather day, while changing cloud can create a different atmosphere over the hills. Return to your hotel for dinner at leisure and an overnight stay in Nagarkot.

Rise early for a chance to watch sunrise over the Himalayan range from your hotel or a designated viewpoint. On clear mornings, the panorama can extend across several mountain peaks; visibility is never guaranteed and depends on weather. After breakfast, enjoy a gentle countryside walk through Nagarkot’s terraced fields, forest edges and small settlements, following a route suited to your fitness and local trail conditions.

Later, travel towards Changunarayan Temple, an important pagoda-style temple known for its historic architecture and stone and wood carvings. Explore the temple precinct respectfully and check local access arrangements. Return to Nagarkot for a relaxed evening and overnight stay, with time to enjoy the hillside setting.

Enjoy breakfast while taking in the mountain air and, if the weather is favourable, one more look at the distant Himalayan peaks. Check out from the hotel and begin your return journey towards Kathmandu. Depending on your onward travel schedule, you can include a short stop at a local village viewpoint or a tea break along the route.

Your driver will drop you at your selected location in Kathmandu or at Tribhuvan International Airport, allowing sufficient time for traffic and check-in. The final transfer timing can be customised to suit your flight or onward connection.
