Arrival in Katra & Yatra Registration

PILGRIMAGE PREPARATION

Arrive at Jammu Airport or Railway Station and transfer by road to Katra. Check in, rest and complete the required yatra registration through the official Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board process before starting.

After checking the latest advisories, begin the approximately 13 km pilgrimage route from Katra towards the Bhawan. The traditional route passes Banganga and Ardhkuwari, with rest points and refreshment facilities along the way. Trek time varies with pace, crowd and weather.

Complete darshan as per the queue and shrine procedures, then return to Katra for an overnight stay. Keep the group together at meeting points and plan short breaks rather than attempting to rush the ascent or descent. Check the latest timings and restrictions on the Shrine Board website before travel.

Rest & Departure from Katra

RETURN JOURNEY

After breakfast, keep the morning flexible for rest following the yatra. If time permits, visit the local market near the Katra bus stand for prasad and souvenirs.

Check out and transfer to Jammu Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey. Helicopter, battery car, pony and other services are subject to official availability, eligibility and booking rules; they are not assumed in the package.
